1969 Door Hindges (2 door)

Looks like I'm missing door hinges for my '69 2+2.  Does anyone know if they're Impala or Bonneville or Special?

Thanks
Dave

I should be able to look them up in my Cdn Pontiac & Chevy parts books. When I went to replace the drivers side hinges on the 70 454 Laurentian (2 dr hdtp) I found they were the same as a 4 dr sedan, so I grabbed a pair from a junk yard. I ended up not using them (as my door guy had another set), so they're kicking around but in need of a rebuild.

I'll let you know what the parts books say. I suspect the findings will be the same as 1970, just curious if a convertible needs something special.

I doubt convertible is special... door jambs are cut (factory) for power window harnesses but that shouldn't affect the hinge... let me know what you find and I'll check too!

I get:

Hinge, front door upper
8720943 RIGHT
8720944 LEFT

Hinge front door lower
(2) 9816926

Looks to me to be the same as Impala!

would have to check the PN again, believe one or both hinges are the same used on the '70-'81 F bodies

The lower for sure is the same from 70 and up F body. I can try to check the full interchange later tonight. It might be in my Hollander interchange.

when you mention hinges, im forced to change the pins in both the 75 and the Camaro, I suspect most two doors have this issue, with the bushings being worn out, crapy tire has them, its a good investment if you have them out any way.

I'll dig through the parts books tomorrow, and also for the used ones I got from a 70 4 dr front drivers door.

I wound up grabbing a set of four from eBay for about $250 new. Hope they're well made. I might regret not getting OEM units and re-pinning them, but we shall see!

leave the doors closed and do the Duke boys method (especially easy on a ragtop), those chinese hinges won't wear out if you don't abuse them (by opening and closing the doors).

I jump-sit all of my convertibles anyway, but want them there just for originality, you know how it is....
