Ken..of all the trucks I've seen, car shows etc. I've never seen(or noticed) that offset air cleaner housing(if that's what you call it). 1 year only..CST only? Very unique.

Here is my brother Mike's 1962 Ford Falcon 144 in line six banger. The interesting thing about Mike's six is that it has exhaust headers and it has a wicked sound with out being obnoxious. Cheers.
Gidday George, the 261s came out of the 60 Pontiacs and were replaced with 283s because the wedding parties liked to hear the rumble of the V8. One 261 went to replace the 216 in the 50 Chev and the other 261 went into the Puddle jumper as the original six had run a big end bearing. The red 261 is a spare that came with one of the Pontiacs. The spares in the shed are a 216 and a couple of 235s. The flat six is out of the 39 Hudson 112 that I had fully reconditioned around 40 years ago for just under $400.00. The Puddle jumper has a hydraulic winch on the back driven by an 850cc mini engine so has the four forward gears and reverse. A great piece of engineering that I can't lay claim to.

Thanks for the interesting in liner history. Cheers.

Now this might be my very last..... maybe last, shameless bump on this topic. Show us your six banger's ...... oh heck shows us your in line eight banger's too if you have one. No (bent) eights or (bent) sixes are allowed here, just in liners. Cheers.

Here are a few interesting inline six banger's that i saw at some car shows in the past. There is a 1957 302 GMC truck six that has had everything done to it and is in a 1932 Chev coupe. Also a 1950-1953 Hudson six with the very rare Twin H power option that did very well in NASCAR back then and a 250 Chevy six that is full out high performance in a T bucket. Keep your sixes humming. Cheers.
'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.

Here's my unoriginal to the 65, 250 six w/PG flyin' the coop south to Chatham. Is actually going in a T bucket!! Cool.
I do actually have affection for them, just not in this case George.
That's a pretty sight when I know a 327 and a 4 speed are going in
Longstroke dispapponted me, I was sure this jab would get a response out of him. You took all my fun away George.....
Carl, i was just assuming that you already knew that you had to go to the corner of the room and hold your head down in shame. You should be use to that by now.

With this Corona virus life shut down, i have loads of time on my hands. So i made good use of my time and went through my many car show photo albums (12). I transferred many 35 mm photos to j peg images for my computer. Here are some pictures of in line six banger's from a number of shows over the years (1978-2005). Check it out. Cheers.
