Yes it is. He took a stab at creating the new registry but it just never got off the ground. Disappointing because he put a lot of work into it and now I haven't seen him around here in quite a while. I assume he just gave up on the car and man, he put a lot of hours into that car.

Too bad that he's selling it.  I hate to see when a project becomes too much - maybe there are other circumstances involved.  Hopefully it finds an owner who can get it back on the road again.

Howdy as the owner of a 66 Grande maybe I'll weigh in here.

Its certainly  worth a look.  it appears to  originally be a fairly well optioned car with Power windows so that is good but it also has been a learning project car which means that it has been thoroughly worked on. If you're looking for a restoration potential that can be quite frustrating. For that type of project I prefer a car that might be a bit rusty but hasn't been altered or "improved" much. If you could get the numbers run from Vintage Vehicle services you might find out what it was before the changes and some sense of rarity.

If you want just a car to get on the road this might be ok especially since the price is dipping down into the range you'd pay for a parts car. Not sure how onerous it might be to get a car like this registered in your province but that might be a real issue and may in fact be the reason it is for sale.

I hope you like purple though as a good paint job will be a major cost.

As I say worth a look.

Thanks guys for the info.
There are 2 other 66 Pontiacs that seem to be in better shape, Than this one. More expensive but seems to be less work. I will see those ones first, and if they dont work out, I may take a look at this one if its still available.

What do you think is going on with this car? Sold last month, and back up for sale by a new owner this month?
Sandblasted it and realized the bodywork on it? I know it sold for under 3500 to this owner....

I did not talk this owner... just wondering the justification if it sold for less last month and back up for more now. And hes saying his price is firm... and the new rims/tires were the ones in the previous ad too.

Only the seller knows for sure, but if I were to guess I'd say that they either found something that they didn't like about the car or just decided they didn't want it as much as they thought they would.  Probably asking more than purchase price to get out of the deal and cover their costs of buying it (i.e. taxes, transport, or whatever).

From the photos, it doesn't look like the body has been sandblasted, so I don't know what they are talking about.

If you're interested, why not just call and find out about it?

Yeah, it's up to you.  Or, you can keep looking.  I'm sure the right car will come along sooner or later.  Be tenacious and you'll find one.
