 Just got a reply from poster of kijiji ad in new Brunswick  that car is still available.

Anybody on the area ever see this car ??

15 g for a legit 70 SS Acadian is VERY  light on asking price.

WELL.

YES and NO

 

Yes it was mine to take. 

NO.  I spoke with the owners friend who has known this car since 1974. He is now a certified mechanic and the car was currently at his shop.

After a 1 and Half hour phone conversation i found out all about this GEM.

IT REQUIRES A LOT OF METAL WORK TO RESTORE PROPERLY.  In BC here that work, plus the correct paint and new vinyl top would easily eat up 40 to 50 GRAND.

 

The car is a 100% legit, and a HOLY GRAIL based on the GM build sheet and a personal email from George Zapora at GM.  If i was in Ontario or The EAST i would not have blinked at getting it.

Who ever buys this car will get a piece of CANADIAN Automotive history.

I don't think that kind of work is cheap anywhere.

Too bad because the car looks presentable in the pics.  Maybe it might be a case of living with the bodywork that was done and just enjoying the car to drive.  There's a lot to be said for not having to worry about getting a rock chip or door ding and just driving it.
