Anyone ever drive a Model T?

I've always wanted to drive one. It sounds like it'd be easier for someone to learn if they have never driven a car before. Good article about it on Hagerty:

Never driven a T. Would be cool though. I have an A which also has the column controls but has a normal clutch and transmission stick. The T use pedals to shift gears. No stick.

Ive driven an A, they are close to a horse and buggy, except for the horse. I assume a T is even more primitive.

my dads uncle was going to give me a doctor T 10 years ago or so. i was the only one in the clan that was into old cars. i had a hard time with it even trying to drive around his farm. i ended up saying thanks but no thanks because i would have ended up hot rodding the thing and i didn't want to ruin a running classic. he gave me a 40 fargo truck that was out back in a field at the homestead instead, but thats another story

Still have my 28 model A 2dr coach that I bought some 40 years ago. Collected parts, rebuilt engine never went any further with it. Old timer I bought it from said you cut the car (hot rod it) I cut your b*lls

I was watching videos on Youtube on driving a Model T. Quite involved. Turn on battery. Retard ignition (forget to do that & you'll break your arm when the starter handle kicks back). Gravity feed fuel tank. Leather & cork clutch. Centrifugal gearbox. Clincher tires. 2-wheel mechanical brakes. It put a generation into cars and inspired the next generation to become Hot Rodders.

I've never driven one but I would love to try.

I drove one when I was a teenager around a field. All I remember was that the hardest thing to do was getting it to stop!

Jeepers Kevin! I'm starting to think it'd be easier to make a list of the cars you don't have! If you need a caretaker for a few let me know

They would have no problem keeping up with today's insane traffic. Just under coated it and would make a great winter beater.
