1957 4 dr pathfinder rocker pannels

Looking for rocker panels for 57 pathfinder Have a set of 57 chev that should fit but profile is different. Thought I had read where a different year was a better fit. What have others used as a replacement. Thanks in advance.

Use 1955 Chevy. It has the same rocker contour.

Love to see some pics of your 57.

Will try to figure how to post photo. Thanks for info. The car is original 283, 3 in the tree. Would like to upgrade tranny to fully sincro and keep the three in tree. Did this to a 58 back in the 60,s and have forgotten what trany Im looking for. Would like to add vacuum assist to brakes, understand this was an automatic option back then. Intake has no vacuum port on 2bl intake but have a 327 4bl intake that should work. Was there a reason this option wasn't offered on the standard cars.

The 55 56 57 Chev's and Canadian Pontiac's used Hydovac power brake units on stick on the tree cars because of brake/clutch pedal configuration. Automatic cars of that same era used Treadle vac power brake units because of the brake pedal configuration. You could use a Hydrovac set up on a automatic car if you wanted to but a Treadle vac set up will never work on a stick shift car. Also the Hydrovac unit could be mounted remotely off to the side, the Treadle vac has to be mounted on the firewall with the single pedal. The vacuum port on the two barrel or four barrel carb was mounted on the carb base not the manifold itself and always mounted directly behind the carb.
