Well if you use the Ebay listing as a guide at least 2283 have failed as that's how many have been sold so far.

The power window switch on a 2009 Silverado that I once owned was acting up. I removed it from the door and was able to take the switch apart. It was really dirty on the contacts so I gently cleaned it and it worked fine. Took about an hour if I recall.

One of the reasons I have crank windows on my 2006. No AC either ... 2 front windows and a sliding rear glass. Old skool.biggrin

Hate to derail your window switch thread but when I saw the subject I had a part failure a couple of years ago that I had to throw into the conversation.

The clutch fork in my 72 Nova broke as I was leaving a shown shine. I had lots of help with suggestions what the problem might be but nobody came up with the fork failure.

Similar thought on part failures.
Once phoned a GM dealer looking for a headlight switch for a what was then a couple year old pickup. Guy said he had 5 in stock. Guess they failed regularly and he was prepared with replacements.

I buy door lock actuators for my GMC Suburban 6 at a time, I can't tell you how many times in 19 years I've changed them, all 5 doors there is no discrimination on these things. I also break inside door levers all the time and the dealer always has them in stock, I was told that tow truck drivers snap these things off like green beans and its the same part in all GMC's my vintage.
