Numbers found on firewall

Can anyone tell me what the numbers I found on the D.S firewall mean # 473-7-26

1957 Pontiac Pathfinder Deluxe 4 door.

Thanks

Pretty sure they are line inspector's marks. Hopefully someone can decipher what they mean.

Are they written in a straight line or in different locations on the firewall?

Some of my firewall markings denote my car's model #.

The numbers were done by hand and vertical on the D.S firewall only seen with the fender removed. Also found #13 under some dirt beside the upper fender mount.

473-7-26  may be a code for a date?

Are you suggesting there was some hanky, panky going on on the production line? ( lol )

I don't know what the markings denote but I can say that based on '67 Chevelles & Beaumonts they markings tended to be consistent. Mine says C-2 (nothing to do with paint or trim) on the firewall and I have seen it numerous other Oshawa Chevelles & Beaumonts wearing the same C-2 grease pencil marks.
