Progress on the jukebox

Getting there. Stops at desired selection (instead of never) and memory working. (Can stack up several song selections)

Video paused in between to appease copyright police.

Partying by myself in the garage with the Pontiac, reminds me of my days as an eligible youngster..

That is too cool. The thing really has nice tone! Can tell even on the video.

Can I come hang out at your garage? A great Pontiac and a Jukebox, what could be better?

SWEET!!!!! Nothing like the sound of a tube amplifier!! Old tube guitar amps are going for big $$$. Great work on getting her to "run" wink properly

Yes, come party any time! This one has been a treat. By no means am I an expert. Only worked on a few. They were very expensive and therefore had to earn their keep. As a result, theyre often flogged to death, full of nicotine and worn out. This thing is just excellent. 1960-ish.

Nice sound, Seeburg was always my favorite jukebox. I actually did a course with Rowe AMI in 1970, but still prefer the sound of a Seeburg.

That's fantastic. How does the "memory" work?

Good morning Todd.

Its fascinating. Large box, perhaps 10? x 3? x 2? constitutes a 160 bit memory, one bit for each side of 80 45?s. Button presses magnetically latch a tiny toroidal coil. Tube amplifier scans each bit, detects which is latched, at the same time unlatching, tripping and playing record.

1950s technology from IBM, I think.

Google ?Tormat?

A buddy of mine has a large selection of vacuum tubes if you need any.
