This is an old ad from back in 2016 - apparently it was on Ebay.ca

it would be interesting to hear if anyone knows what happened to the car

 

Also interesting is the fact that the ad shows a shot of the 140 mph speedometer but there are no markings of it being certified

That takes me back!

My brother and I had a 71 Biscayne, former RCMP highway car, with a 454. Had the 140 mph speedo, zipper pockets in the roof liner etc. Apparently the rear frame had weights added for stability at high speeds which were removed from the car.

That car couldnt break the tires loose from a standing start to save its life, but put the pedal to the matts at 60 and that thing pushed you back in your seat all the way up to 140 plus. We had fun with that thing until it spun a bearing.

Before we got that car I thought I might be able to outrun one of them with my car - not a chance!!

That was one of my old cars, bought it out of BC, car was all there ran well but needed to be restored. Was a police optioned car car not a police packaged.
