Wow, what a cool piece. And yes, certainly loaded especially for not being a Custom Sport. Family car with a bench seat!

You betcha, and A31 thrown in for good measure. Oh, and N33 too!

No G80 posi though. You would have thought most guys would order a posi on a 300 horse 4 speed car.

Looks like the paint was polished right off of it!

I'd say it's definitely a car worth doing, but also might need a lot of attention everywhere to completely restore rather than make it a driver.  Appears to be a fair amount of surface rust/corrosion in the pics which could be an indication that it probably sat outside for quite a while.  But still looks to be a nice, solid car.  I like!!!

1964 Parisienne Rare with Documents

$9,400.00

Description

One of the most rare cars I've come across. As you can see from the documentation, this car is one of 31 special ordered with the numbers matching HI Performance 300HP 327 and M20 4speed. Speaking of special orders, this isn't your run of the mill boring Parisienne's. The option boxes were checked off to make this car even more one of a kind. Power Windows, Power antenna, tilt column, rear seat speaker, a six way power bench seat(find one of those), and a factory dash "Pontiac" Tachometer. An Alberta car all of its life, it was special ordered and sold new out of Whitecourt. Car is complete and comes with some extra parts, grille, RT front fender and a few other bits. Solid frame and floors. One repair will need to be made under the rear seat. Lower Quarters and outer rockers need attention. To be clear, this is a completely orginal, and extremely rare restoration project. Sorry, it doesn't run, so bring a trailer. May consider trades for an enclosed trailer or anything of interest. No sleds or atvs. Trade value, $10,400 Cash value $9400 NO SALESMEN OR SOLICITORS, I can sell my own car, Thanks!

Yes, you would have thought he'd get a posi, especially with the amount of other options it has.

Was the tach part of the high performance package or a dealer add on?

Look at that "industrial" heater over the front hump ... also has a factory block heater ... built for cold western Canadian driving.

Looks like it's pretty well unmonkeyed with.

 As I understand it......the dash tach.....was included....or mandatory.....with M20...

Yes, I believe that 64-66 (and possibly 63) gave you a tach on any M20 car, based on what I've seen.

From what I see I don't think the price is that far off. I would buy it if I didn't have too many already

Seems to me the Chevy these years had the dash tach with a high performance motor so a 300 hp 327 or a 409 so maybe the same with a Cdn Pontiac? Likely in a brochure? Neat car and colour.

Too bad he didn't include page 2 of the docs... I want to see what U RPO is hiding under the left side rivet of the tag..

....... AND, upon further inspection, it has to be U75 as it is stamped in the trim space...

On the subject of options...and page 2 of the Oshawa docs......Some icing...on the cake, ....perhaps?

Right front fender...looks pretty original.......and I don't see an antenna.....or hole for one....

There appears to be one on the right rear quarter panel....

If you zoom in .....on the dash picture...you will see what looks like TWO accessory switches......on either side of the clock....

Could be for power antenna and rear speaker....or reverb?

Off the top of my head.....those could BOTH be U series options....which would have been listed on the 2nd page of docs...

That is one LOADED 64 Parisienne......and note the hook ...in the bench seat specific shifter?......Custom Sport (bucket seat) shifter was almost straight up...

Wonder if he'll trade.....for my cube van?............confuse

I just noticed the cool looking vintage interior warmer hanging from the dash. I must have been to absorbed with the bench seat 4 speed setup!

Looks like it has been given a "Patina" clear coat or something, very shiny for worn out paint.
Ask the guy if he will trade for some Mopar parts, looks like he will need a few with that early '70s Charger.
Is he the dealer that purchased the GM Canada docs?

The interior heater if it is the plug in over night so car is warm in the morning type is troubling . My experience is that yes you got into a warm car in the morning but the inside of the doors were sweating and thus promoting rust. Many a car went around with the bottom of the doors rusted out because of these heaters.

On the subject of FIRES....

Last year......a local guy here.........lost 100 high end cars......when his NEW building burned up....

Story is....he had one of those chinese battery tenders....on each one.......and a faulty one...was given the reason...for the carbeque...

He was in Vegas......for a car auction.....when it happened...

Let that be a lesson.....NOT a good idea...to leave ANYTHING 110v......plugged in....in your car...when you are not there....
