Nice looking car in a bodystyle you don't see much anymore.  Has been for sale for awhile.

I must say I actually really like this car from a practicality point of view better than my 66 Grande.  My machine is a great highway car but a real barge around town.

I just wonder how it well sealed it would be having never owned a 4 door hardtop of any description.

Again, if my wife wasn't really watching me I'd make the call right now.

Rare car indeed. Don't know the numbers but any 4dr HT little own PW! No numbers in the Registry? Be nice to have a 4dr HT vin to send to George to find out.

Must be a solid car..beltline trim looks to be mint and look at that door gap! Most 4 dr HT sag over the years and they tightens up on the top.

The wee8 I have in my Beaumont came from a similar 66 4 door hardtop that I parted out a few years ago. It had been hit in the front corner but didn't have many options except steering and brakes.

I've seen the same car at shows here, same colour, it is pretty original and very low mileage from what I remember. On the question of leakage, I don't recall them being any more leaky than a 2 door HT.

Looks like a good car for the money and I'd say very rare.

I don't think so.  I did have the cowl tag numbers registered here but not sure what is still accessible.

Prelim info tells  me that there were 708 of the 4 door hardtop made in 66. I'm going to confirm this I hope.

Does that sound about right?

We've had a conversation about me downsizing my collection which every wife I've ever met is in favour of. She may not realize the complete implications of this.

The short answer is of course that I'm stocking up on canned goods for the garage.

We'll keep you guys posted on this saga but this is one very seductive little car I must say....

I'm intrigued.  Good luck with it!

Found this pic of the one I saw here in NS, not a real good pic.

Same car?  Looks to have the same front plate, bumper guards and high beam eyelids (or whatever you call those)...

I just noticed that the trunk has had some repairs around the wheel tubs by the look of it?

Wonder if it is the same car- some godawful coincidence if its not. The pic I found was from maybe 2009 and it has a ns motor vehicle inspection on the lower driver windshield. I don't remember it having those wheels, this it was stock wheels with full wheel covers. It looked original inside and out when I saw it with no evidence of rust.

All I can say at this point, gents, is the vintage vehicle info I ordered on it says it was originally sold out of Amherst NS the production number I gave a while back are correct and I can personally affirm it is very original and unmolested except for the silly brake pedal and the after market gauges.
