That black box and lever on left side of dash is the control for the Flow Through Ventilation. If this was an AC car that would be a vent. The other vents center and right are used for AC as well but in this case they are for outside fresh air.
AC dash is shown below:

Nice shape ... but still 1 repaint at under 19,000 kms.
I'll call it the hummus car or the Habitant car because of the colour combo.

Not everybody like the G-3s but that one is a Primo example if I ever saw one. And just to honor the Oshawa GM plant it has the stock L65 Chevy in it's orange smogged finery. Chevrolet called that colour "Chamoise" and it was a '73-only colour.
Warning to any would-be buyers, keep that car away from road salt and/or underground parking garages. I have seen nice examples of that car grow menacing bubbles around the wheel lip / skirt area, plus those bumpers rust from behind. Plastic interior parts are best kept out of direct sunlight when possible, and keep that vinyl top oiled.

Yes, my '73 that I had back in '83 had rust coming through the rear bumper from the back side, and rusty rear wheel arch lips, so I can attest to that.
Yep. Our 77 rusted in the same spots. That chrome wheel lip trim sure helped hold in the salt and moisture. They soon disintegrated. When dad had the car repainted (about 1986) there were still NOS mouldings available.
Well my 73 suffers from all those maladies described, except my rear bumper is from a salvage yard so its decent.
Of all the Pontiac A bodies 73-77 for some reason the 73 Luxury LeMans is my least favourite, I think it represents a confused marketing scheme when Pontiac was really shifting from a sport packaged brand and this was just like some old man's car they put out to try and sell to all segments of the demographics. Even the colour on this one is so boring and questionable. Nonetheless the car is in impeccable shape and is an excellent example of an unpopular model.
Wow! What a clean car! Even for 1 repaint....they did an unreal job!!! Look at the weather strip area, also the emblems and trim!! Someone knew what they were doing...would have cost that for paint! Sweet and clean.
