LOL. I know a guy who worked at the Windsor plant back in the Cordoba days. He had a lot of interesting stories!

 Exactly.

Mr. "Rare as Fk" needs someone to tell him he's dreamin' trying to sell scrap metal for that price.

Here's one for sale......$5500.00 and all there......and I've seen others just as nice going for much cheaper.

One would have to believe that this is some kind of spoof ad aimed at all those people who are trying to sell junk for exorbitant prices.

Seems to be more sarcastic than real... kinda in poor taste, as well.

Oh well, there's 2 minutes of my life I'll never get back... biggrin

I agree with Mark. This person is only goofing around and the ad is not serious at all and it is in very poor taste.

I remember hearing an interview with him years ago.  The interviewer asked him if "rich Corinthian Leather" was a real thing, and Ricardo said it was just a name they made up because it sounded good...

Ugh... marketing guys!  biggrin

Actually the production line would have been moving a lot more slowly when this car was built - the 75-77 models all sold in the 150,000 unit range - the restyled 78 fell to around 100,000 units and it was all downhill after that  as Chrysler slid into the Iaccoca/ K- car years

I got my first non food service  high school job at my Uncle's Chrysler Plymouth dealership in May 1975 - these cars were big sellers for Chrysler

A friend of mine was the son of a Doctor that usually bought a new car every year. In the fall of 1975 I was present when a service tech in a white lab coat showed up at their house in a brand new blue '76 Cordoba. Friend's father walked around the car, took the keys and proceeded to burn rubber as he drove the service tech back to Bay-King Motors. The good Doctor had owned sports cars & musclecars, regularly drove with driving gloves and of course had to test that smogger 400. I remember in '76 driving to the Ex in that car in it's velour (not Corinthian Leather) splendor, listening to Roger Whittaker on the 8-track (his Dad's choice). Digital clock with the numbers that flipped (how 70's!). In '77 the '76 Cordoba was traded in on a new silver Corvette.

I also remember the time dad's friend bought a new '75 Cordoba. Grey with red Corinthian Leather high-back buckets. It now meant his family could  travel in style, not in the 1965 International crew cab 264 L6 4-speed that had all the charm of Sanford & Sons.  Things hadn't been the same since they left their '63 Laurentian wagon out for the trash in the early 70s.
