Its a 327 car got it with a 283...but rebuilding a non vin 64 327 40 over ect with a pwr glide..has posi rear nothing fancy for options I dont think ? buckets console repainting it in spring have a new white top for it yet to put on and the motor in spring then in the fall going take out interior and replace floors and trunk areas..got the pans so ready to go on that..away to much yet to do yet
Good to see this '64 CS on this site again, Bill. You are quite correct, "it never ends" but then again, I do not believe any of us are really "done" with our projects. There is always something to do.
Good luck over the winter.
Thanks brian I like the 64 but seems the 69 is rarer and both converts if the 69 has good floors and frame its going to be tough to decide the one to keep cant keep both so I have been told lol
If your '64 was a 4 speed, there would definitely be no doubt in my mind as to which one I would keep, though that is a matter of personal opinion. I much prefer the body lines on the '64. Having to replace floors and/or frames is definitely a big commitment with regards to time and money. And, if one has to do that, so much for originality. The main thing is that we enjoy our projects no matter what the make, model, year or condition.
yes thats for sure I want a nice old pontiac convert to drive and enjoy and not spend a life time to get it there easyier the better Iam not getting any younger lol

Really want to enjoy driving this car so kinda works out better as I can drive it once painted with the 283 and not be in a rush {or feel like } lol to put in the 327 ..in..and gives me more time to get the 69 home and see what I am going to do with that one..was a bit of a shock to find out its a 283 car, really had I known in hindsight I wouldn't have bought the 327,but would have prob always wanted one lol can't win
Its All striped down ready for paint at the moment thinking blue or Black,?? first thing in spring then I'll put it together and there will be lots of pic's..thinking between the 64 then 69 I will have that taking pics thing figured out ?? lol
Really on this car I don't mind white,But I gotta make it mine, prob with having a rarely seen car is ; oh thats so and so"s old car :..gotta keep them thinking lol
Love the 64cs, but I am a little bit bias. Your car looks great Bill and I know whatever you decide to do as far as colour and engine size it will be the right thing. I like my 327 and it has just the right amount of power to play as well as pull trailers and be used as a everyday driver. They are dependable cars and I know you will enjoy it.
Brian
well looks different, still got to put my new top on,my new trunk and floor pans, and the 327 in..lots to do yet, could have done a nicer job on the paint and body but good for now it will be living on the street and by the time I get all thats yet to do done It will be time for a repaint ..easyier than the complete change of color..plan on driver her till the 283 can't do it any more ..now I can make plans to get the 69 vert 2+2 home ..fellows here should reconize a few of their parts I was gratefull to get..
