1941 STREAMLINER TORPEDO 2 DOOR COUPE

Its been over three years since my last post so I thought would post an update on the 41 Pontiac. The car has now been certified and appraised. Of the 82,527 produced in 1941 your guess is as good as mine on how many are actually left. If you know the location of one of these Pre-War Pontiac's please message me and let me know. Thank you

Nice looking car.

82,527produced in 1941? Is that a typo or would they have produced that many in a war year? That is a lot of cars.

I am guessing that would be US production numbers.  Canadian cars would have been under 10,ooo total each year, but probably way way under 10,ooo for 1941.

Production numbers are from the General Motors registry and are for all of North America. Pontiac stopped production on December 15th, 1941 to support the war effort. There is very little information on how many of these cars came to Canada. To date I'm aware of one that has been located in Saskatchewan, Straight 8 car that needs a full restoration. Thank You for the comments and taking the time to have a look.

Pardon my ignorance of pre war pontiacs,  but was there not any "canadian" pontiacs built in canada before the war.  I know that starting in 1946 there sure was.

That 41 in Saskatchewan with the straight 8 looks like an excellent candidate for a resto. I have always been fascinated with the straight 8's, never drove one but sure would like to. A rare find indeed.

I've always wondered what the year is of this steering wheel, and now I know.

Also, is that a For Sale sign in the window ?

Yes indeed that 41 is really sharp, I especially like the interior wood grain and the steering wheel finish, would that be original ? Nice car for sure. I trust your front hood design support more than that of the 1950 that we have, Ours is a backward set up right from the design, the springs are load when the hood is closed?????
