Not only do you not need it but I would take it one more step and say nobody needs if for their 64. The styling on a 64 is way too nice to ruin it with that hanging on the back.

Some opinions may differ.............

Wouldn't be found on any of my cars. Mid to late 50's only.
That being said the narrow version like this is certainly better than the full wider version.

Definitely does not belong on a 64. Continental kits look fabulous on 50s cars, especially 55, 56, and 57 T Birds.

I was waiting for your input and good taste when it comes to cars!

Strap a crying doll onto this rear end monstrosity.

I should offer him $25.00 for the PARISIENNE emblem.wink

It appears to have had a '62 Pontiac V8 emblem on it at one time.

Agreed that they affect the lovely looks of a '64 negatively.

The only positive I could spin is that it would be handy to change a tire if your trunk was fully loaded. That happened to us back in 1971 in Newfoundland when the main highway was still a gravel road.

I'm trying to visualize it installed.

That's actually not a bad idea....

How about we take it one step further.....and tie a rope ...to it's legs......and drag it behind?
