Good Memories

I just found an old post I made on the Impala SS forum many years back when I had my 6 speed daily driver. Man I miss winter driving that car!

You are 61 not 16. Can you see my eyes rolling?

I live in the big city, no room to pull that maneuver.

So we got dumped on overnight in SW Ontario,

Dusting by western standards.

On the way home in the middle of the storm,

a punk and his loud muffler BMW pulled up beside me, on my right at a stop light,

He thought he was going to blow by me when the light went green.

Nope.

As much as I miss my rear drive daily driver,

Four wheel drive is just more fun in the snow.

I just walked away from the low riding weaving spinning German.

Of course, if he knew how to drive in the snow, it might of helped him.

Miss rallying smaller cars today, they all have that electronic parking brake instead of a proper lever on the console. Used to love going out with the kid and wife and sliding around the corners. Kid would be giggling, wife would be pissed!

I love watching drivers down here Randy, still WITHOUT winters on/refusing them. It a hell of a lot of fun as I glide by on my Blizzacks in my Exploder Sport.

Nothing wrong with keeping the driving skills sharp, Carl!  Love the fact that there are no tire tracks that are parallel with your car!

That said, in my older years I do appreciate having good snows in the winter time.  Slipping and sliding can be fun, but I'm no longer invincible!  biggrin
