I was looking around the Old Manual Project website ( which is a great site)  and came across this gem

I never knew such a Poncho existed Custom S. Very nice looking Pontiac package and i love that Pontiac over head cam in line six motor. I can just imagine how rare this car must be, even in the U.S..

My brother had a custom S. He brought it from California about ten years ago and sold it to a guy in Portland Ontario. It was green with black interior, 350 Pontiac engine with auto.
I once owned a 1970 Tempest two door post, Chevy 250 six with three on the column back about 1978. It was really rusty then. Its a wonder that any cars survived Ontario winters.

I would have bought a Custom S a few years ago, except that the slimy seller sold it to someone else for a little more money after handshakes and agreements were made.

In the end it worked out better for me, as I think the car would have caused me headaches from hidden rust issues, but it sure wasn't a fun time.

It's the only one I've ever seen in person, and came up from the US, so yeah... rare.

TRIVIA:

Prior to the OHC 6, Tempest used a 215 CID version of the Chevy 230

Thanks
