Boy, talk about a blast from the past!  For those on the forum that lived in Alberta during the 60'sand 70's this Edmonton station was ubiquitous (along with CFCW, the country station)

I happened across some of these airchecks yesterday and listening to these people again really made my day. (especially the commercial for Pacemaker Automotive on one of the excerpts.) Hopefully there will be some of you finding the same delight.

How are you ever going to have that Beaumont pre trip check done in time for the tour to Manitoba if you're sitting around listening to old radio Ken?

I am just going to check the oil,fill it up and hope for the best! More fun that way.

Back in the day this was the kind of stuff that was on in the garage all the time anyway!

I think Edmonton's 630 CHED, Calgary's 1140 CKXL & Vancouver's 1410 CFUN were all sister stations.
