Don't know why the owner suggests that a 389 6 pack would be the way to go with this.

That car appears to be one that is best described by the oft heard term "not for the faint of heart".

This is another pet peeve of mine re kijiji, particularly.  Why don't posters take the time to at least spell the kind of car they have correctly. Or if you never learned to spell just take a picture of the emblem and copy it.  It makes it so much more likely that someone will find your car on a search.

Ray, his comment reminds me of my old 1967 Strato Chief 427 that changed hands a few times after I sold it.

One owner kept the Engine and sold the roller and the next buyer had an actual Pontiac Engine installed in it!!

I happened by Pro Stock Performance in Edmonton and they were building and installing a Pontiac Engine.

As no Canadian style chassis ever had a Pontiac Engine they had to fab mounts etc.

Thanks

And people get on my case for putting a 427 in my (former) survivor car that was built with a 283!!! Putting a US engine in would be a lot worse....

Hes had the car for sale for a long time. Theres an old thread with the previous seller, and he was asking a lot less. I have to see if I can find the thread. Im still on a look out for a 66 project, but not this one... hes had it for sale for over 5 months probably.

LOL, you may be right.

From what a guy can see it doesn't look like a simple project, and you know how it goes. If it looks like it's needs X amount of work, it usually needs Y and Z amount of work!
