Kijji parts sales???

anyone had a ad cancelled for putting "classic car parts" in Classic car section? Received a notice they cancelled my ad for 64 Chevy bumper ends [ just after I SOLD them] because they should have gone in "General" parts for sale. I replied that they should have a section class for these parts as I never get a response from General section for classic parts, nobody sees them there, but don't know if response goes to a "REAL" person???

Yes , Kijiji seems to be watching the ads more closely now  . I had the same thing happen to me just last week .

In all reality , Kijiji is really a waste of time now as there are simply way too many "non buyers"  who like to pretend to buy and don't show up .

Facebook has more and more vehicle specific sites to buy or sell parts now .

Well I guess I got lucky, had a call from buyer north of Huntsville before ad got cancelled, showed up yesterday morning as "planned after 2 hour+ drive & bought bumper ends", no haggle price as stated!!! I've had good luck selling parts thru Classic car section & never had ad cancelled till NOW!!!

I had an ad for classic parts in that section last year. A guy emailed me to say he had reported my ad telling Kijiji to pull it. I replied that putting it in the regular parts section was a waste of time, like Howmac is saying. He emailed back with a nasty tone saying he would keep reporting it as well as any of my other ads. I emailed him back and suggested he was better off using his time to lobby Kijiji to create a classic parts section. I never got a response to that.

Keep posting them in the classic car section, maybe post it as a car with a pic but say in your ad what you are actually selling. Going to try this for the first time and see what happens. My thought is Kijiji spend little time looking for ads in the wrong category and must use a bot of some kind. So they may miss my ad if the ad and subject line do not have the word part in them.

Ive had parts add cancelled years ago and never had a cancellation until one a couple of weeks ago. Around here not many old car guys are on Facebook, including me. Kijiji works excellent and I get little in the way of crap replies. Of course, our population is small and most of us on the Right coast are nice and polite.biggrinbiggrin Craigslist Is almost nothing here too.
