Cadillac in Green Book

 

By now I'm sure many have rushed out to see the Oscar Winning Best Movie of the Year Green Book. Besides the wonderful acting and period sets the Hero Car used in this movie plays an important and significant role. A 1962 Sedan DeVille, beautiful turquoise in colour exerts its status of the best there was at one time in American automobile manufacturing juxtaposed to it's Chauffeur and Famous yet maligned Passenger. I'm not one to impose my artistic opinions, but I will say that the movie is Oscar Worthy as are the performances of both Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali, two out of three isn't bad with honourable mention to the Cadillac.

We saw the movie when it originally came out and we both really enjoyed the movie. I thought Viggo was the one that deserved the Oscar more because he has always been a super solid actor in everything he does. I got a few real good laughs seeing all the cars in the movie that came later than the supposed year. I was seeing even 1966 models in the supposed year of 1963. If you have not seen the movie yet, go see it but i have to warn you, you will get a lump in your throat at the end.
