Convertible windscreen rubber dilemma

Ok folks, made a couple of new brackets but obviously, these were originally moulded into the rubber seal So most of this bracket wont fit into the new seal. There is a pocket in the repro seal but what section do i insert into the repro seal? has me bamboozled...

I think you posted this a week or so ago, so I took a look at the rubber that came off of my 70 2+2 convertible. It still has those metal pieces in it, so they obviously didn't transplant them into the new rubber. I can take a photo, not sure if it'd be any help to you.

Cheers mate! I got a pic from that thread of the bracket and made some. A member in melbourne was kind enough to send me his so I made a couple of sets, one forhim and one for me but obviously dont fit. Was wondering what everyone else has done.

hi Phillip; Im not sure if I sold those pillar post seals to you ? Anyway they would be Metro Molded Rubber if I did. I think most guys install without the clip as they are a pretty snug fit. But i will get hold of a friend who knowsl convertibles and get his opinion. It may take a couple of days.
