1970 was the first year the Bonneville and other US nameplates were available in the mainstream dealer network. Even though GM Canada marketed them, the only one I have ever seen made in Oshawa was a 1970 Catalina.

This thread reminds me of a 1970 Catalina I had in the early 70's

For some reason I still have the registration and the 7th digit is a 2

Does this make it St. Therese, Que ??

Thanks
Randy

Yes, 7th digit 2 is St. Therese, QC. They built 1970 Catalina's and Bonneville's there, I wasn't aware of any built in Oshawa for 1970.

About 30 years ago....I pulled a 455 Pontiac out of a 73 Parisienne 4dr ht........I thought it was strange that it didn't have a Chevrolet engine in it.

I think I had an odd one too, a 1974 Parisienne Brougham, 4 dr HT with a 400, 4bbl SBC.

Someone mentioned only wagons got the 400 SBC then.

Thanks
Randy

Right on, I've had many 70 Pontiacs and remember this one as the very worst.

It was probably due to the previous owner.

Thanks

Randy

I tried to yank a 455 out of a Parisienne last year and you guys wouldn't let me.....you sent someone all the way from north of Edmonton to take the whole car away on me before I could make money parting it out!
