I assume the 300 horse would have been offered in a Beaumont? I guess I've never checked. That with a 4 speed and a 3.55 or 3.73 gear would have made a fun car.

The 300 HP 350 was offered in the Beaumont in 69. I parted two of them a few years ago, one was a 4 speed. This 69 Cheetah was not a big block car. I'm sure there were lots of changes made to the stock 69 Deluxe.
I think a 350 Beaumont is a very neat and likely rare car, especially in the two door sedan version. Lets face it the most common V8 found in a Beaumont was the 307 and we all know how most members on here feel about that engine. A 350 69 Beaumont will always make me stop and take a good look.

What, that it was a solid reliable variation of the small block that got people to where they needed to go and paid the bills for GM, so they could afford to sell low-production big block cars?
A 307 is basically a 283 with a 327 crankshaft, but large journals. I think the biggest problem was that most I have seen had 2:73 years in the back. I think the reasoning was the longer stroke could handle the gearing. Back in the day adding a four barrel carb and duals with a change in gear ratio helped a lot. Stock they were a slug but seemed to last.

Apparently that was the only 69 cheetah and the only SBC. On the other topic, my cousin had a 69 SD 396 post car, black on black. It was a late 70s show car.

Yeah.
Mark, once again you hit it on the mark. With out all those countless sixes and entry level V-8's................ these big block guys would just be dreaming of what they got. Just dreaming. . After all the bread and butter stuff paid ALL THE BILLS. Cheers.
