Someone once told me that the 65 bucket seat is unique. They said the 64 is just a slightly different size/shape and that the tracks don't interchange because the mounting width is different. I can't prove that's true one way or the other but just in case...

I thought the difference was the 65 folds straight ahead and 62-64 fold ahead at an angle.

 I blieve one  is slightly narrower than the other. One of our shops ordered a '64 and it turned out to be a '65 or vis versa. Don't remember which

Yes, that is how I heard it too.

However, in the case of the Nova buckets, the folding part is true too. 63-64 SS fold at an angle, 65 straight ahead.

There is also a slight difference in the seat adjuster handle Chev vs Pontiac. Pontiac comes out and points straight up. Chev comes out turns up and then turns horizontal again.
