Good morning guys, sad but happy news that the 68 SD went to a new home last month.Father in law almost cried, haha. Was sad to see it didnt goto a member here(at least that he knows)but definitely a loving CL guy of all people.Well life goes on.In the meantime I may have to get out and have a look for a new toy now too.Happy days to all.Mark
Hi Mark, I bought your old car off your father in law Terry. I Love the car and its in good hands
. I plan on putting it back to burnished saddle with the black top. I have picked up a 68 canadian 350 hp 396 to put in to keep the matching numbers motor intact. If you have any old pics or history you can share about the car please let me know, Im in Maple Ridge. Thanks Don
'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
Congrats on your purchase! Hope you enjoy your new ride.I couldnt help but reply when I seen your car was purchased new from Hacks Garage in Grenfell,Sask.in 1968.I went to a car show in Grenfell this June and they happened to open the old Hacks Garage building on Main St to help accommodate the show enteries and registrations. They had a gentleman from Wolseley donate for the day some signage that you see in the pictures like the BA and Esso signs etc along with the old gas pump to give it that "oldtown dealership feel".It honestly was a great little show with the efforts of these people to open the old garage to the public to look around that day.Long story short is this is the dealership building your car was sold at new back in 1968!!

Hi Don,
Welcome and congrats on the purchase!! I'm not sure if Mark has already reached out to you but if not, he and I communicated quite a bit on your car as I was very seriously considering it but couldn't ever line up a ferry reservation to go look at it around my busy work schedule (and didn't want to be stuck over there with a truck/car trailer and no reservation to get an extended length load home). I still look at the pictures and kinda kick myself but that's my MO. LOL. Anyway, I'm sure it's as nice as described and I would be happy to share all the history he supplied to me (I.e. the engine was machined at a long term well known local machine shop). There was nothing 'personal' in the info so I'm fairly certain he wouldn't have issue with me sharing but I'll give him a couple days to respond
P.S. IF for some reason you decide to flip it rather than repaint etc. let me know....I never seem to keep my 'toys' longer than 1 or 2 years max.
