Hawkeyes post reminded me I need to change out my front springs.
Ive done this before, getting them out is easy without a spring compressor, but getting them back in requires a good easy to use compressor.
What are you all using? Post pics if you can please.
Canadian Tire sell one and also rents that one out for free. I found it lost its hold on the spring and started sliding down on the coils.
Thanks,
Don

I've actually used a Princess Auto Compressor on 3 spring jobs (12 times for in and out) with no issues. I always use it when removing the springs so the don't fly out.
I actually made a post about it somewhere, describing how I was able to figure out the placement needed to impart that correct "Arc", needed for the 65-70. The image is from that post.
The trick us to go slow, use a wrench only, add and a few large washers at the bolt head and use never seize on the washers and bolt. But the main thing is to get it placed properly. I think people have trouble with these by placing them wrong, running them up with an impact gun and using them dry. Always closely inspect it for damage or cracks before using. I've had no problems as such. Good luck!
