1953 Pathfinder windshield and windshield trim installation

My buddy is trying to re-install the windshield and stainless trim in his '53 Pathfinder.  The upper part looks just like the upper part of the '55-'57 chevs I see on youtube - meaning the stainless trim gets installed before the windshield is put into the car.  On the Chevies, it looks like the bottom trim pieces are installed after the windshield is in place, and are held in place with clips and screws.

On the Pontiac, the bottom stainless trim is the same as the upper trim, which makes me think both the top & bottom sections need to be in place before the windshield is roped into the windshield frame.  Is this true? Or does the bottom trim go on after the windshield is installed, like the tri-5 chevs?  If it gets installed after, is there a trick to feeding it in without bending the stainless?

Same question for the corner pieces on the bottom.  Do they get installed before or after the windshield is roped into place?

I searched for a video, but did not find one for the early Pontiacs.  If anyone knows of one, I'd sure appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction.

Wes

Gayne

Yes, that helps a lot. The directions confirm what I suspected from looking at the window, gasket & trim - the glass, gasket & all the trim get installed into the window frame at the same time. I think an few extra hands might be in order, but I couldn't see any other way of getting the trim on. Wish us luck.

Thank you very much!

Update;

We managed to get the windshield, gasket & all the stainless trim installed, without cracking the glass, on the '53 Pathfinder following the instructions provided. We used liberal doses of spray silicon lube, and just took our time.

Thanks again Gayne!
