In a quandry Cant decide what to do

After collecting many parts for my Chev over the years i have to decide what to do with all of the miscellaneous parts accumulated. Some were bought many years ago at flea markets in the USA.  Some just showed  up over the years.

My problem, I would like to dispose of it efficiently,,,,, one bundle....

or

Go to Lindsay for the weekend, spend 75.00 for an outdoor spot for 2 days and the cost of fuel, food, and who knows what....

And maybe only sell 25.00 worth leaving me in the whole with the whole package to trek back to my storage unit.

Some suspension pieces, some roof line trim, a good quality grille, window handles, instrument cluster, Cornering light frames and lenses, rear end pieces, gears 3.37

WHAT TO DO???

confuse

Cliff, put all your parts on Kijiji for free and wait it out. Over the years i have sold thousands of bucks worth of parts and memorabilia on Kijiji. Sure you have to deal with some ding dongs but that is part of the territory, especially when its free. I gave up selling at swap meets many years ago and i was doing it since the early eighties. The key is a well written out ad with photos and then just wait it out. Good luck and cheers.

Do you post the same thing in different cities or just rely on the search feature to dig out your item allowing you to post maximum free ads. What about setting up a store?. What about paying to move the ad to the top... or just let it get lost in the crowd? Comments appreciated.

any NOS SS rocker trim? Should be starting on my 67 SS Impala in July. NOS parts would be welcome. Is the cluster a tach one? Are gears 3.37 10 bolt or 3.31 twelve bolt

Cliff, my experience is that these parts are nothing but a huge albatross. While I have had luck with Kijiji it takes a long time and all you get is bottom feeders. NOS OEM in box parts are easier to sell that's for sure and the guys on here have been great to deal with too. Most car guys guys know what they want and will search for it so my opinion is paying extra to be at the top isn't worth it. Post it and let it be for a while, although usually I get hits in the first week I post.

Cliff, i have never paid extra on Kijiji to move the ads up and i never will. I am a very patient person and i wait until i get the right buyer that will pay me what i am asking.

I agree with Ray and have never paid to bump up or highlight an ad on Kijiji. A lot of the first contacts I get are looking for parts you don't have advertised and most people are looking for the same impossible to find parts.
If you are looking for an efficient way to sell everything is to offer it as an "all or nothing" package before you start selling the desirable parts off first. This approach will not get you the highest dollar but will get rid of everything at once. If somebody comes in and cherry picks the best parts then, as Ray said, you're left with the albatross.

I agree with the "be patient" advice. I don't like the all or nothing package ads, I generally move on because I want one or two parts, not to buy someone else's problems. The last 5 or 6 items and vehicles I've sold on Kijiji all started with the same responses on the first two days. "That's too much", "I'll give you $500 cash right now", "What's your bottom dollar?". Every single item, and vehicle sold for my ask price within 2-5 weeks. If it sold the first day or two, most likely it was priced well below market value, so it pays to do some research and price accordingly. Then it pays to have thick skin...

eBay can be good too...

Guess I better get over to my unit and start cataloguing stuff.
I do have a selection of photos already from previous attempts along with some save text for each.
Guess I will list the maximum number and see what happens with Kijji .

Will post link to stuff that may interchange with Pontiacs.
