1978 Firebird Formula. Breadalbane, PE


I bought my daily driver Accord from this fellow and saw the Firebird in person. It's a nice car and I seem to recall he bought it from the original owners.

Car is in beautiful shape, no rust on body or frame. New MVI will be on car prior to sale, needs nothing. Daily driven on nice days, Stored inside heated garage during winter and rainy days. Original engine and transmission. Engine was freshioned up last summer. New plugs, wires, distributer cap, new lifters, new cam Paint is original. Interior is all original and in amazing shape for being 40 years old Has 80,000 original KM's Selling because I have another project in mind and am told I have to many vehicles. In no hurry to sell Can take more pictures for serious inquiries 9,000 obo

Looks decent in the photos. A '78 usually had a 305 or 350 Chevy, the '77 often had a 301 or 350 Pontiac.

Wheels appear to be 1976-81 Camaro polycast urethane on steel 14". Firebirds came with 15" standard since the 1975s.

Has the original "hard rubber" (just my description) spoke rims on it. I don't know what kind of material they were actually made of, but they were different.

Looks like a nice car for the price, but I agree that it needs a set of 15" Rally IIs to look right.

I queried the owner, he indicates the engine is a Chevy 350.

That car sat outside of a body shop on busy Hwy 2 between Charlottetown and Summerside for the longest time with a for sale sign in the window. Seller told me the owners parked it there for exposure. The current owner inquired, got the number of the owners and asked a price. He didn't say what it was he paid but ......

I had no idea these things had small block Chevy's in them until I spotted a 78 in the local Buck's last year, it was sporting a 350 Chevy. I thought they all had Pontiac engines in them.
