HOW ABOUT THOSE RAPTORS!!!

I thought they'd be in a chokehold after tonight's game and instead they're up 3-2 in the series..... Go Raptors Go!

That was an impressive victory. And incredible to think that Drake set up in Jurassic Park, that's so cool for all the fans that an international recording star and multiple Grammy Award winner to be among the fans in his hometown. Makes me proud of my fine City.

Yes, I noticed that. He certainly is a huge Raptors supporter (and I would bet "supporter" in the financial sense as well...)

They certainly did earn that win.

Good for them and their fans, personally I would rather watch the leafs loose another game seven to the Bruins then watch basketball bleh

Kevin, Kevin, Kevin. I also used to be one of those people who thought basketball was boring. Then I started watching it. The beatings those guys lay on each other is unreal. It's anything but boring!

I'm a huge Raptor's fan. Been following and watching them for years, even in the lean years.

I played against Leo Rautins (the commentator) in high school and knew then he'd eventually be a pro.

They almost always fall behind early (it's frustrating), but almost always fight back. It's awesome.

If watching paint dry was a sport I would rather buy season tickets to that

Funny thing is, I hated basketball until our son started to play in 2008, grade 7. Then 2 years later our daughter started playing. Both of them were above average players in their school and I got hooked watching games!

It is funny how a person connects to some sports.

Soccer, I couldn't care less about, but when my daughters both played it, I converted.

My wife used to be a nationally ranked badminton player, and watching her got me hooked.

Basketball is definitely not for everyone, but I love it.

My wife is a HUGE Raptors fan, so we've got their games on. Funny story, when the team name was announced back in the 90's, she thought it was the Toronto Rafters. She couldn't figure out the connection, and eventually determined they're the Raptors. We still call them the Rafters.

Re this Drake character, never heard of him before last year. I don't know who he thinks he is, but he has no place on the court or up and down the sidelines.

Drake is a Hip Hop singer from Toronto. Likely the most famous one right now. He's doing pretty well. Well enough to have his own personal 767.

I still remember him from when he was a 'Degrassi kid'... so now I see him all grown up and a hip hop star and it seems a little strange, but that's more a sign of my age (lol).  From what I've heard he seems to be a well-grounded character - happy to see that he's had such great success, even if I'm not a fan of that genre of music.

https://degrassi.fandom.com/wiki/Jimmy_Brooks

The Raptors have drawn me in over the past few seasons... I keep calling myself a bandwagon fan, but can't avoid watching a game if it's on when I have time.  Was never much of a basketball fan for years, but now find it actually more exciting than hockey, with less violence as a bonus.  Still don't completely understand what constitutes a foul... everytime I think I get it a foul is called on the guy who was knocked on his butt and I realize yet again that I don't understand (lol).

Did not think they would win last night, but was really impress in the way they got it together in the last quarter.  Of course I'll be watching the next one... wink

Basketball, I believe got its start in Halifax. The NBA is not nearly as good a game as NCAA, with rule differences etc. I'll start watching when the basket is raised to 20 Ft.

Been following basketball since the early 60's after Wilt 'the Stilt' Chamberlain scored 100 points and then apologized to the opposition.

To my wife and I basketball is the most exciting of all the sports and agree NCAA can be wild, e.g. March Madness.

Used to follow hockey but find today's play of shoot into the corner and then go for a rest is totally boring.

And the fighting in hockey has to stop.......heck I went to the fights the other night and hockey game broke out.

(Sorry Rodney)  The best hockey is the juniors or Europe but still can't match the excitement of basketball and remember

there's no coasting in basketball like hockey, football, soccer or baseball. If you're not moving fast you'll get left behind

and then find yourself benched........(just ask Danny Green on the Raptors.....what a slug).

Here's hoping we go all the way.......'the BUCKS STOP HERE'

GO RAPTORS GO

No question that as stated earlier, the NCAA is amazing. The guys have endless energy. But when you watch the NBA guys, they are so much smoother and SO much better shooters.

Interesting sport for sure. Never played much as a kid because we had the choice between that and hockey. Enjoyed it as my girls starting playing it and grew to enjoy it. Oldest daughter received a $100 thousand dollar scholarship to play it in university so got to appreciate it some more.

The BUCKS STOPPED HERE.........and now we have home advantage.

We beat GSW twice earlier this year and Kevin Durant was playing and Kawhi did not. Well Kevin is not

expected to play so look out GSW here come the Raptors after we first serve up two victories at home......smile

GO RAPTORS GO

Talk about grinding out a win tonight, and grinding out a series win.

Apparently only the 6th team ever to be down 0-2 in a series and comeback.

Yes!  And not only that but with 4 straight Wins!  (Also love the fact that there has been very little individual showboating by the Raptors compared to other teams.)

Agreed, they aren't about the chest pounding thing, they just want to win.

Sadly, I have the Warriors in 5 for the finals though.....

But, I was wrong about the Bucks series, I had Bucks in 5 or 6.

********

Watched the post game with Ernie Johnson, Shaq, Barkley and Kenny Smith and Barkley says Leonard
is a 'drama free' superstar........that is so great to see in today's game, not just in basket ball.
Barkley also picked the Raptors to beat Golden State.
