Got some new wheels.....10 of them.

New job is going well...guess it;s not that new anymore. But still having a blast! Boss bought me a new 2019 Freightliner M2 with all the bells and whistles. My son James and I went to pick her up from the mainland today.

They are making a lot of single axle with auto and juice brakes so that anyone with class 5 can drive them. Most tandems are auto now,but the good thing is I f you take your test on an auto..you can only drive an auto. Years ago I trained a guy that had never driven anything bigger than a 450. The truck I had was an auto at the time. He took his test and passed, but that also allowed him to drive a stick. Don't think I'd want to meet him coming down the Fraser Canyon!!! Thankfully they changed that policy..kinda the same as the old days in a car. Test on auto..drive auto only.

That looks like fun. When you see some of the crap truck drivers are forced to use, I guess there's really nothing quite like a new truck.

Do you need a special licence for gasses?

You need a TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods endorsement) About a 5 hour course that you can do online. Depending on what you are transporting, courses can be longer/shorter.

You guessed it! Truck is palletized. So you load steal cages full of cylinders on with a forklift. Will take some pics tomorrow with curtains open to show how it works. Locking tabs hold the cages in place.
