winnipeg Sunday night car show

some neat stuff today

The 64 nova called mighty mouse was nice - I didn't know you could get the 327 in one of those cars before 66

The green 62 Belair 4 has one of those lenco style shifter setups - there were no other  signs of any hidden power that I could see

there were probably at least 368rr1.JPG68rr2.JPG68rr3.JPG68rr4.JPGDSC04448.JPGDSC04449.JPGDSC04450.JPGDSC04451.JPGDSC04452.JPGDSC04453.JPGDSC04456.JPGDSC04457.JPGDSC04457.JPGDSC04458.JPGDSC04460.JPGDSC04461.JPGDSC04467.JPGDSC04468.JPGDSC04469.JPGDSC04470.JPGDSC04471.JPGDSC04472.JPGDSC04473.JPGDSC04475.JPGDSC04475.JPGDSC04477.JPGDSC04478.JPGDSC04480.JPGDSC04481.JPGDSC04482.JPGDSC04482.JPGDSC04483.JPGDSC04484.JPGDSC04485.JPGDSC04487.JPGDSC04488.JPGDSC04489.JPGDSC04490.JPGDSC04491.JPGDSC04492.JPGDSC04492.JPGDSC04493.JPGDSC04494.JPGDSC04495.JPGDSC04496.JPGDSC04497.JPGDSC04498.JPGDSC04499.JPGDSC04500.JPGDSC04501.JPGDSC04502.JPGDSC04506.JPGDSC04506.JPGDSC04507.JPGDSC04510.JPGDSC04512.JPGDSC04513.JPGDSC04515.JPGDSC04516.JPGDSC04517.JPGsprite1.JPGsprite2.JPGsprite3.JPGsprite4.JPG hemi cars there

The two tone Grand National must have been a repaint. The 84-87's were like the Model T, "you can have any colour you want, as long as it's black!"

A lot of real sweet looking time machines there. Thanks for sharing. I will take the 1967 Buick because i grew up with one. My dad bought a new 67 Buick Special sedan, i learned to drive on it and it was always a great car. That 59 Chev shorty is interesting and very well executed. It is the back half of a four door sedan.

That Canso looks familiar ... was it not just up for sale?

I don't like the 2 tone on the Grand National, makes it look like a Regal.

Thanks.

My Swedish buddy bought one new, didn't like black or all the GN markings, he had it painted burgundy and all the trim removed before he took delivery. He had it a while and was not one to abuse things at all, but he complained there was something wrong with the transmission. Had it back 3 or 4 times, was told, nothing wrong here. He kept complaining until they pulled the transmission, it had cooked first gear and was taking off in second all the time. The car had so much low end torque, you couldn't really tell it had no first. Lars was a car guy and a superb mechanic, at one time in the early 70's, he drove a 240 sedan for Volvo in in off road racing. He said those cars were tuned by Volvo racing and the 4 cyl put out about 350HP.

That 59 is very well done, the 62 is a Cdn car with 283 fender flags, nice looking original car. Wonder what was under the hood.
