I'm new to the Canadian Poncho so this is the first post. I have a 1953 Pontiac Pathfinder. It has 14 wheels but I am told that they had 15-inch wheels when new out of the factory. Somebody may have changed for 14" thinking the lower look was better. Does anybody know what was the original? i am looking for wheel covers/hubcaps but can't know what size until I've decided what size wheels I'll be going with. Also looking for a sun visor.
A '50's car car will get you a definitive answer, but I think 15" is correct.
Stone carver ... wow, that's an old trade! I'd like to know more about it.

Thank you for a prompt response. Not sure I understand 'a 50's car car' Misprint? I'd like to know for sure re the 15" wheels. Can you be more certain? I've been an artist i.e., a sculptor in stone almost all my life. Take a look at www.granitecarver.com.

Ok, I got a definite '15"' wheels were the original equipment on my 1953 Pathfinder. Now to find some . . . and some wheel covers/hubcaps to fit. Any ideas anyone?

thank you so much, Greaser. We'll get looking around . . . It's interesting to be communicating with other owners for the first time. One learns so much. For example, this is the first I've seen definitively what the original hubcaps looked like. Haven't got a pic of our specific car just now but I'll get one shortly and post it. Thank you again.
The US Pontiac wheels are different, and on my 1949 US Pontiac the hubcaps are a different size than the Canadian ones. The Canadian hubcap is too small to fit the wheels on my car, and the full covers that I have seen still use the clips on the centre of the wheels to hold them on, so they wont fit either.
