My and best friend's wife saw it in Toronto. They loved it. It's been getting great reviews.

It's about the hospitality that Newfoundlanders gave the rerouted U.S. 9/11 planes.

Saw it a few months ago and really, really enjoyed it.

I heard they were taking a road company and performing in Vegas.
I wasn't sure how the crowd down there would take the East Coast humor and Canadian references.
However, a friend of mine from Vegas went to see it and said the crowd loved it.

You'll really enjoy it.  Scott

I saw it in Toronto last summer. As a Newfoundlander I had been skeptical about whether this play could capture the spirit of the place and what happened here in the aftermath of 9/11, but I was very pleased that it was both authentic and entertaining.

And the kindness that is the subject of Come From Away is a Canadian thing, not just a Newfoundland thing.

Not to go into a lot of detail, but as we were on our way downtown to watch the play  on a Tuesday evening in August, 2018, our eldest daughter became ill with the after effects of a stroke she had suffered in March 2017 at the age of 20 while attending University in Nova Scotia.

We diverted from the theater and rushed her to a hospital in downtown Toronto, where she was seen immediately and given the right treatment such that she's never had a recurrence since. But as a result we thought we would not get to see the play.

Fortunately her treating physician, who solved her immediate medical issue, also solved our Come From Away issue. Turned out he knew a physician who was involved in the production company mounting the play and he made arrangements for us to see it on the following Saturday night when the house was virtually sold out.  I think we were able to buy the last 4 available seats, and as a special treat for my daughter who had been ill, the company also gave us some time with the cast members. It was wonderful, and reflective and indicative of the kindness we experienced from many people in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and Ontario when my daughter first became ill in March 2017 and throughout her remarkable recovery to this day.

We can't thank them enough, but we are very grateful for the kindness displayed by so many people who did not previously know us, as we worked through the ordeal of her very serious illness. We think this support is what helped us all get through the crisis.
