Looking for a '68 Beaumont Convertible

Hi, new to this site. Canadian guy from Kingston, Ontario now living in Sacramento, California. My first car was a Verdoro Green 1968 Beaumont Custom convertible with a white top. Unfortunately I could not afford bucket seats and console plus it had the Powerglide auto column shifter with the rather poor 307 V8. I sold the car in '73 when I was transferred by my employer to the USA. The buyer totalled it a few years later in a head on collision. Sob. Maybe wishful thinking, but i would love to find another '68 Custom Beaumont Convertible. Not much interested in the SD396 but I would consider one. I would prefer the Custom model with a 327 or 350 and bucket seats. Also power steering & power front disc brakes. Probably best if it is a driver, in good enough shape that I could easily drive it back to California. My email address is joehillCA@gmail.com Love to hear from you, thanks folks! Joe

Good luck. A nice 68 Beaumont would sure raise a few eyebrows in CA. Plus you'd have a whole lot of questions to answer.

Ha ha, yes indeed, it would be fun to show it off in California and piss off the USA enthusiasts that did not have access to these beautiful cars. Lol. Thanks to all for keeping me posted. I am very impressed with this forum. It is extremely friendly and helpful.

You've probably seen this ad already?

It is green, but not Verdoro.  It's not a '68.  And it's kind of pricey.

But... it does look nice nonetheless... :)

Welcome aboard and good luck on your search...almost seems like my old 68 (see my Avatar) have been your car as mine was Verdoro green and originally had a white top, 307 PG :) except it was sold and stayed in Alberta it's whole life until I purchased.
I stupidly let mine go 2+ years ago and have been trying to buy back since so if you find one....hold onto it!!

My heart just skipped a beat. Yup, looks exactly like mine. Even the same color interior. A very pretty car. I sold mine when I was transferred to the USA and the subsequent owner totalled mine in the Toronto area.

Hi Mark,
Caught a glimpse of a really nice blue one in Chilliwack a couple weeks back, white roof I think and it sounded really healthy, was that your old car by chance?

Geez that one is NICE, if it was on the West Coast I would flog my Camaro quick.....I'm going to assume it's all rusty underneath to make myself feel better wink
