I bought a set of floor mats and a trunk mat for my '06 GTO. They were embroidered and roughly $500 everything in... I tracked it on their website and it showed that it had arrived in Ontario, transferred to C/Post and in route. (Global Shipping) Waited and waited... Called 10 times, different person same tracking, blah, blah blah! Finally, the supervisor called, female and basically told me that I was trying to scam them!

I told her, not a chance and that I saw it had left Ontario on the website... She said that it had never ever said that on their end! Unfortunately for me, I didn't take a pic as an update to send to her...... The ba$tard$ sent me $100.....

Lesson learned, I now take updated progress photos... Best of luck....

Thanks for that info,I now have a printed shipping sheet. I am also suspecting some one is lying as the service specialist told me that the Calgary depot said it was loaded on a truck and sent to me on the 4th.I know just about all the people at my local post office and related the story to them,B.S. was their response .

if you find resolution, please share with us what you do/did;
I have had it with Canada post for many shipments;
They are totally unaccountable - unless you have proper insurance, and require signature for delivery... but most people only pay attention to the former and skip the latter.
OR!!
If canada post is going to be collecting tax, then you're pretty much garaunteed it's going to arrive at the post office...

Since canada post has reformed their delivery service it is not unusual for letters/ect to be shipped to the wrong address - I have been personally delivering items we receive to the intended recipient.

I just got back WITH my package from the Post office. I happened to be home this morning when my local carrier informed me that a co-worker of hers asked her when I was going to pick up my package,HUH, I guess its been sitting at my local P.O. for over a week and nobody passed this on to the actual card/carrier,no delivery card present either. The tracking number is/was still showing the item in transit.

They enter a package number into the system and its not showing,got an explanation somebody screwed up.My item did require a signature as well as customs fee so maybe Unruh Johnny is onto something there.

So if your shipping I can tell you a tracking number is more or less useless,it can tell where an item has been but NOT where it is. I'm very happy its here but never again want to go through that crap with Canada Post.Any where else if you acted like the people I had to deal with you wouldnt have a job.

Lesson learned:Cover your asses as best ya can

I'm glad you got your package.

I also recently learned that Fedex does not insure packages - I believe the line I was given was "it won't get lost"... yeah sure.

UPS is horrible on brokerage fees, but I think they are aware that they are losing business because of it and are now offering to pre-calculate/pay what end fees will be required - which is really nice if you're ordering parts from a state-side company like Rockauto.

Jon, Rockauto's so cheap. It's a pure temptation to use but I haven't because of it being stateside and the issues noted above. The parts are literally half the price I can get locally, even with foreign exchange factored in.

Bob - Just be aware that recently Rockauto has made a change to deliveries;<br>I only recently learned of this because my brother was having problems receiving a package because he works during the day(!);

Rockauto is now requiring signature for deliveries - no exception (So be sure that you send it to a place where someone should be at during the day to accept & sign for the package).

To the best of my knowledge, this was a change that customers were not notified of.

If you have someone at home during the day, or ship items to your workplace then you're fine, if not, this can be a HUGE inconvenience.

Thanks Jon. Interesting. Probably to combat porch pirates. Amazon sometimes rings my bell during a package delivery, but usually not. Been lucky so far.

amazon is taking the step of having deliveries photographed at the house as proof that they WERE delivered.

I am happy to help.

I'd offer to accept deliveries for you, but the three hour commute is a bit much to pick up mail ;)
