this car was at the Gimli Car show

I have never seen this style of steering wheel in one of these cars- they usually have the 3 spoke style

 - it has a buick emblem - was this the base steering wheel in these cars

That looks wrong to me;
Did you talk to the owner?

I'm guessing he's looking for the correct one or is getting a better one, and this is a step-in substitute.
This wheel looks like a 1960's unit.

It looks like the correct year wheel but for a really base Skylark. Uncommon.

Yes the GSX's had a real nice 3 spoke. It was like the top of the line performance car for Buick then. In '71 they added more colors to the line up. '70 only had two colors - Saturn Yellow and Apollo White.

The base wheel is correct and called a "Bat wing". I had a 70 GS Parts car (early build) with a 69 Buick style steering wheel:

Looking back at the original post I didn't catch that the bat wheel was in a GSX. I was under the impression the sport wheel was part of the GSX package but the Wiki on the GSX does not state this.
