Taking in my last car show in Victoria before moving back to the Okanagan. This one is heavily weighted to imported cars, as they were a big part of the scene on the west coast from early on. There were some really nice North American cars there too, and I'll start off with this Acadian, built by JF Launier of Osoyoos, BC.

This 67 Chevrolet is still in the original family. It was ordered from GM when they lived in Winnipeg, and then picked up at the plant, and then driven to Expo 67, and then driven to Victoria where they moved to. It was for the current owners mother. It is a 250 6 cylinder powerglide car. with manual steering, and brakes. The only option is a power top! Easy to work on this engine!

Thanks John, some great rides there. It will be quite boring coming back to the Okanagan and seeing our rides here except for JF's out of Osoyoos.  That blue Econoline pickup motivates me to get mine finished.

 There's some pretty exciting stuff going on in the Okanagan these days, what with the track in Oliver, and other things. If you buy a new Camaro from GM, you get a credit towards a driving school featuring new Camaros, of course. I was there a couple of weeks ago doing the graphics on some of them. They have 18 cars to choose from.

Still amazes me that Detroit made full size cars with six's in them in the 60 and 70's.
I remember seeing a full size Charger, 72 with a slant six.

Heard that the Acadian in first picture has a 2400 HP nelson racing engine in it. Not sure if that be enough for that car. LMAO

Appears my Buddy's 32 White Hudson Essex made the pictures as well. 440 Dodge with Sanderson twisted headers.

 Interesting with the Camaros.  Talked to a friend this afternoon and he mentioned that GM had gotten on board with these cars.  Membership price is climbing I think to about the 60g mark and supposedly there is a pretty good waiting list.  An acquantance of mine had a chance to buy in at 30, didn't think he'd bother and then had a chance to do a few laps and then paid 40g.  Rumours are that they may hold a race there at some point.
