New member 67 Beaumont

Hi all!

Just purchased a 67 Beaumont Convertible and pretty excited about the new ride!

This car is just fun - cant beat cruising with the top down and the 327 4 speed is the perfect match.

Ive had a number of Mustangs but this is a way better fit for for my family. My girls (13 & 15) helped push for the purchase and theyve got non stop laughter and hair flying everywhere we go.

Love any help with decoding and Beaumont specific info - I know its not all original but with only 408 produced its hard to be choosy - and all the mods are exactly what I wanted.

I believe its originally a white on blue v8 (not sure what size) power glide car.

Now is its a beautiful Butternut yellow on black 327 4 speed with power steering and brakes.

I realize the big block Chevelle hood, pontiac wheels and headers are not original and believe the dash has been painted black.

Love it for what it is, real fun to drive, rust free and straight, and something a bit different with a Canadian spin.

You did well. That looks like a great car. 327 with unsilenced air cleaner & headers, a Hurst-shifted 4-speed.  And its a Beaumont Custom with all the important chrome in place. Butternut Yellow is also a great colour on these cars.

Super nice car buddy!!
My little 8ywar old baby girl rides the shotgun position in my car.
Kids know what they like.

Bring it out to 192 and 28th avenue in Surrey on Friday night.
Huge gathering if weather is nice.

Well that is just an outstanding looking car and what a great drivetrain you have there. I have always thought that Pontiac Rally II wheels look so at home on the Beaumont and they look fantastic on your car !  Remember Yenko Camaros came with Pontiac Rally II wheels so these great looking wheels must have made an impression on the Yenko guys too.

That is one sweet looking drop top.

Hoping that in the parking lot photo you're not visiting the store in the background rounding up funds to pay for it ( my attempt at humour )

On a little more serious note please loose that plastic in-line gas filter. Many on here claim they are a potential source of fires.

I really do like the car. Oh and yes, welcome aboard.

Nice car, welcome aboard! Is that the car that was for sale in Agassiz recently?

Here's a partial breakout of the numbers on the data tag
73667 = Beaumont Custom V8 convertible
1-4-20 = first shift April 20th manufacture
Paint CC = Ermine white ( Butternut yellow is code YY )
Trim 723 = blue interior with standard bench seat
M35 = powerglide transmission
TP12 = convertible top colour and possibly whether it was manual or hydraulic ( others on here will know )

Welcome from Edmonton. Very nice Beaumont you have there. 67 is my favourite Beaumont year. One question about your engine though. It looks like a 68 intake manifold (without the PCV breather in the fill tube). So where is the breather? Cant seem to see one from the picture.

Welcome and was curious who got it as I watched it on Craigslist. Looked like it was priced very fair.

Thanks for the warm welcome!
This car definitely is definitely a ton of fun - Im sure Ill have more questions for the Beaumont gurus at some point but for now Im just enjoying driving it.

The PCV valve is apparently a little inline one (I googled cv-590c)
The intake is aftermarket Edelbrock performer eps.
I have a nice chrome and glass fuel filter on my 69 mustang that somehow unscrewed itself twice
The car was purchased in Agassiz - she now lives on the Island near Victoria.

Assuming its a 327 - it has a cam intake headers and 3.73 12 bolt - I was surprised by how good it goes.
Also has a nice exhaust - warm under 3000 but nice and raspy at higher rpm.
You hear a lot of the exhaust tone reflecting off things due to the side exits.
The Massey tunnel was absolutely amazing with the top down

Appreciate the help with the tag - anyone know whether it was originally a 283 or 327?

Good job! TP12 = medium blue convertible top. On, say a U.S. Chevelle the blue top would be a "4". If the car came with a power top you would see C06 on the trim tag, if not then a manual top. If C06 does not appear and your Beaumont Custom has the power top, that would likely be due to the Beaumont Custom having the power top standard (same with Canadian Malibu convertibles, unlike the U.S Chevelles).

There were 2 different blue interior colours with your all-vinyl bench seat. 723 is for Bright Blue (think 1967 Indy Pace Car), 729 was for light blue (a softer blue).

CC = Ermine White, or in Canada they called it Provincial White.
