Where Ray is seeing a handsome wagon I'm seeing a variety of shapes that don't fit together particularly well.
Front and side doors have slopping tops while the rear 1/4 window is rectangular. 1/4 window trim is thicker. All the parts just don't flow together so I'd call it a compilation of parts.
I see those flaws Ted, but just like in a pretty woman I can overlook some things.
You know what Yogi Berra said, "If the world were perfect, it wouldn't be."
The Caddy looks to have the rear section of a full-size GM wagon (Buick?) but with the Cadillac quarters & tail lights. If they really wanted to drive the costs & labor higher, they could have substituted stuff from a Buick Estate like the rear window frames & other selected strategic body parts.

I had a grey wagon 2002-2010. I've owned a black wagon since 2010. I subsequently started having to attend many funerals in it and I have to wonder... The new car is a wagon but not formal black, it's Fire Engine Red. Hopefully this doesn't mean I'm going to start putting out fires!

The reason for this is a) its a Cadillac and b) these coachbuilders typically build hearses so it no doubt has many pieces used in a hearse. That rear cargo door for example just hollers hearse of at least combination.

I just love wagons period.................... you can see flaws in any design of any car period................... back to my original thought. I JUST LOVE WAGONS. Cheers.

1. Ray, you should get the Caddy. It fits your brand!
2. I agree with others in that the design would flow better if they had grafted the entire roof of an Estate Wagon or similar to the Caddy. There may have been dimensional hard points that would have made it too difficult, but from a styling standpoint there are too many angles that work against each other.
