In northern Ontario. Friend of mine was at a scrap yard and sent me this photo. While he didn't crawl around it he said it seemed solid. I have a name and number and will call today to see if it can be saved.
I do not believe for one second that this 57 is being scrapped, that is just impossible to imagine. People try to sell complete scrap as good cars, so a car like this one in this kind of condition would never be scrapped. Especially being a two door coupe like this one and with an automatic to boot. Todd, could you please give us some update if possible on this 57. Hopefully sanity will prevail here.

Notice it still has the old 1973 license plate on it?
The tires on this 57 are still holding air. It has hub caps intact on the rims. The tail light lenses are mint. The very rare and sought after rear bumper oval pieces are mint. The car looks complete and fairly straight. Very little exterior rust. A two door coupe with an automatic. This is a prank because there is no way that this beauty is being scrapped. Why this is a prank at this point is what needs to be found out. Cheers.

Northern Ontario covers a lot of territory. If you're in the big smoke then Northern Ontario starts at hwy 7 For true northerners the north starts at Hwy 17
Please be more specific and let the few of us from the area know the whole story
Bet the guy will want $$$$ for it.... She has been sitting for a while before picked up. Can see the WW tire wash on sidewall...but facing 90 deg to gravity.

It's not a scam. A friend of mine I've known since age 12 sent me this text yesterday morning: " The neighbor next to my Dads cottage is a auto repair guy.....he parked a 50's Pontiac out back...... what a shame ... I did take pics.... I just bought a . lawn tractor off him ...nothing but a belt wrong with it .... I suspect a lot goes out back like that "
I have the guys name and number and will call about it today. Friend assumes it's going to the crusher as everything else he has back there is. Hopefully he's wrong and maybe I can get it for a reasonable price (if it's for sale).
Talked to the yard owner. Car does not belong to him. It's been there since 2009 (!) and he was tired of it sitting there so he moved it to the back with the scrap. Owner is in his 70's and does not have a phone! I have a mailing address so I hand wrote a letter to him to see if he'd sell. Yard owner wants it out of his sight. Said it is pretty solid but wont be if it sits out much longer. Has a 265 and runs good. Said interior is decent. My friend is going back there next week and will take better photos. Yard owner says the owner had the car appraised in 2013 but doesn't know what it came out as. Said the appraiser mentioned the car had been hit in the rear at some point in it's life as there is body filler in the rear 1/4. I'll keep ya all posted.
'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
I was going to say, perhaps the resistance to selling could be due to the car being "a little warm" if you know what I mean. Even if not in this case, it may be the reason some seemingly solid cars go to scrap.
