I had seen the 65 on Lagimodiere Blvd ( NE Winnipeg )earlier this summer but this is the first time I have seen it at this show.
The 65 Chevelle turbo set up is interesting - the owner wanted to be able to keep running a carb instead of going to fuel injection and this set up works for him
A farmer customer of mine told me about his neighbour (John's) car about a year ago. He told me it was his first project (I think he's in his 50's) and he was struggling getting the correct parts to get it safetied. He told John to come and see me because I knew a bit about those cars, which John did. We determined he was getting the usual issues buying parts, US Pontiac chassis parts for his Canadian Poncho....
Anyway, I haven't seen John since the car was done but I did see it at the truck stop in town here a few weeks back, at least I'm sure it's the same car. I really like it in purple.

John stopped in at my work place this afternoon with the top down on his cool purple convertible. I gotta say, as much as I like the colour in the pictures, I like it even more in real life.
It's a cool car and I'm hoping to see him show up here with it. I reminded him about the name of this site so he could find it. He knew about it but forgot the name.
