I took in the annual "Wings and Wheels" car show with my 57 Pontiac at the Tillsonburg regional airport in the beautiful town of Tillsonburg. The car show and air show was hosted by Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association, an amazing group of very dedicated people. The association educates and restores some historic WW II aircraft trainers. Through out the day historic aircraft took off and landed. I was like a kid in candy store because of all the wonderful vintage cars and vintage aircraft. There were hangers filled with air craft being restored and much memorabilia. I ran into and spoke to fellow C.P. member Bob Crocker with his fine 58 Poncho. Not only does Bob have the best 58 Pontiac around, he is also a joy to talk cars with. The day was clear but brisk with just over 300 cars showing up. The sound and smell of all those vintage air crafts was mesmerizing, the cars were just another bonus. I will take the 1941 Pontiac coupe or Bob's 58 Pontiac hardtop. Check out the rides, both types. Cheers.

The red 65 wagon and the black 59 convert are both stunning. Is there any details on either of those cars?
Carl, the red 65 wagon i see at countless shows all over Ontario and the owner carries his electric buggy in the back for ease of getting around at the shows. The black 59 rag top i have never seen before this.

George thanks for all the pix and taking time to visit our fine town of Tillsonburg. Sorry we could not chat longer but you had a lot of pix to take and I was busy with potential customers on the 58! By viewing your pix it saved me a lot of walking with my tired old legs so a real treat to be able to enjoy the show without going too far! Had a few leads on the car so you never know someone might step up. Thanks also for taking some pix of the 58 as all the advertising exposure will certainly help! Later in the day met up with Ted (norontcan) who was able to give me more info on the 65 Mercury as he knew the car and original owner when he lived in Kapuskasing. It was a great day all around with the official count being 335 vehicles a new record for this annual show! Bob.

Bob, always a pleasure my old car brother. I wish you the best of luck selling that beautiful 58 Pontiac dream machine of yours. I only hope she goes to a good home and not a house of horrors. I love your town of Tillsonburg and i could see me and the misses living there. The town almost seems too good to be real. Bob give the C.P. brotherhood an up date on the sale of that sweet 58. Cheers Bob.

By the time I got there a good portion of the cars had left, including long stroke. Did however have a good conversation with Bob ( 58 Poncho fan )
Thanks for taking the time and effort to snap and post the pics.
Neat tribute car! FWIW, the Wood Brothers were running Ford Galaxies in 1966 (I think they switched to Fairlanes later in the year), but this is cool nonetheless.
He could have saved himself the trouble of removing the door handles, though, as they were still running exterior handles that year.
Edit: My mistake. I looked at the pics again and this looks like a '67 Meteor.
Wood Bros ran Fairlanes for '67, and still had exterior door handles:
Thanks for sharing the car show pics, George! Greatly appreciated!
