Edmonton Coffee Meet Before Cars go to Sleep for Winter

We need to get together for coffee soon before were thinking of winter storage. Would be nice to bring out a few cars. And maybe a few not so regular as well. Sort of last kick of the can. I know my cars goes for storage next month so sooner the better. Lets see what dates work. Thanks

My wife just informed me we are going to Hoob Town Sept 27st to Oct 6rd

I don't travel well but it will be nice to see the family.

Most any date outside these should be good for me.

Thanks

I can't really pick a date right now. You guys decide and I'll see if it works. Busy time of the year. I am totally driving the car until the snow falls. Hopefully that's not till December!!! lol

Heres an idea. Saturday Sept 28 is the Fall Swap Meet in Stony Plain. We could meet after sometime and discuss our finds.

I like your idea John, just wish I wasn't working that weekend, I'm off the two weekends after that one.

You may be shuddering sooner than thought. Next Saturdays forecast is for the four letter S word. Hopefully just a day thing and melt away.

I may pop up to that swap meet on the 28th. Plan to be in the area that weekend. Don't like the kind of weather you are talking about though. I still have all seasons on my pickup.

I'm not able to come the weekend of the 5th. If it works out for ya'll, go for it. I am having a milestone birthday and the whole weekend is pretty much a right off. lol. Let's hope this weekend does not consist of the white stuff. We are totally not ready for it.

Well we met up with Jerel for breakfast. Breakfast, coffee and stories - good times. Then headed off to the swap meet. Met a guy from Quebec in the parking lot driving a Tempest Convertible with the rope drive 1/2 V8. He and his buddy (driving a Mopar of the same vintage) have been on the road since August if I recall correctly. He said he retired and hit the road. Im thinking bucket list. Anyhow once we got into the swap meet veteran Jerel was off to the races and we never saw him again until near the end and empty handed. I came home with a couple small finds. One being an SS427 emblem. Good fun.

Whoa, Geoff I owe you big time now. The fellow who took our picture said he didnt have much to work with when we complained of how we looked in the photo.

I was asking about you today. Will try catch up with you one of these times too.

Ive got to make it to one of these sometime.
Busy and wet summer. Only had tHe convertible out once... but was lucky enough to run into the Captain at one of the only two car gatherings I went to this year.
PS Enough of the idle threats Carl!

Are we still ok for coffee Friday or Saturday this week? The weather looks good for a car run.

Not as long of a meet as past but decent turnout. No Randy stories (hes out east schmoosing with our fearless leader) but Fred brought his old forest fire fightin buddy Rick along so still lots of good stories. We got a couple cars and a motorcycle show up. Pictures to prove.
