My Swedish buddy had one of these and sold it about 10 years ago. He had a full restoration on the go and got MS. He used to work for Volvo in Sweden and drove their rally car 240s in the early 70s, the cars were tuned by Volvo to about 350hp and he took his P1800 to them and had it tuned the same.

There is a company in Maine that did 5 litre Mustang conversions into the old 240s, they sold one to David Letterman, I think he got a lot of speeding tickets in it. He had a later model wagon with a supercharged V8.

P1800's are great cars. They have really climbed in value over the past year. If you find a cheap one that's solid buy it!
