Hoist Power Draw Question

Anyone on here running a 230V hoist? If so, can you tell me the amperage draw? I may end up with a 110V hoist but want to make sure my wiring can handle a 230V hoist if I decide to go that way.

Thanks!

My hoist runs on 220 with a 20 amp breaker. Its a Bear drive on hoist. I will check the plate on the pump motor later today and post the details.

I agree. My main breaker is 50 amp and have no problems with having a hoist, 225 Lincoln stick welder and a 5 hp compressor.

We use Challenger in Ground at work, with same type of pump system, 20 draw as stated on Motor.

My Atlas 4 poster is 120V but needed a 25 amp stand alone circuit [ as instructions said] so had it wired up when doing shop re-build] so far no problems.

We decided to go with a 200 amp panel. That should be able to handle current and future loads!

None of my neighbors have pools! We don't need them. The ocean is 2 minutes away!
