1971 Buick skylark frame on wheels. Free for someone that wants to finish her.

My son was working on it with a friend but he has passed away. I want it to go to someone who would finish it if possible.

I also have parts in my garage like the seats, windows etc.

I also have the electrical harness he bought for it still in the box, this is the only thing I would want any payment for.

Thx everyone for the wonderful response I am waiting to hear from my sons friend where the car is.

I dont just want to show up there when hes not home. Hopefully soon! I will let everyone know

Hi thx for all your responses. I finally talked to my sons friend. It will take a bit for him to move the car to the front if his house.

He has a lot of parts and things between. Right now we are looking at the weekend sometime.

In the meantime I will be going through all of the responses to pick someone that I feel will be best paired with the car. Thx again

Hi just an update again I appreciate all the condolences and stories. I havent heard from my sons friend who is storing the car yet I imagine hell get more stuff moved over the weekend.

He works full time and has orders to fill on his welding business.

Also I really put the cart before the horse. I apologize I should have had the the freed before I placed the ad! To be honest I never dreamed I would get the overwhelming response that I have.

I definitely will not be giving it to anyone that just wants to junk it for the metal. And yes I will know!

Thx for your patience, be in touch soon

Hi I just posted the pix of the car I took on Sunday It looks a little dirty but its solid. Let me know if you are still interested

Hi still waiting for Jimmy to tell me the car is out I have been inundated with stories about peoples plans for the car.

Its nice to see.. even someone from the UK wanted it. Also a gentleman from Quebec.

I really goofed putting it for free, David would be disappointed for sure, he was a great salesman but I honestly didnt think someone would pay for it.

I also shouldnt have said free because as many of you have told me it brings out the people that just want to sell her themselves or junk her for the metal.

That would break my heart again! One gentleman suggested an auction of sorts and the proceeds go to a charity that David loved and supported.

What does everyone think of this idea. Im just at a loss on who to give it to ... other than drawing a name out of a hat.

Also my husband still just wants the 500 for the harness what David paid for it.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Again thx for your patience and understanding. This is foreign territory for me for sure. Im asking David for guidance in what to do also!

I am going to be taking down the ad in a couple of days. Rest assured I am considering everyone and will make a decision ASAP.

Its getting a bit stressful. Take care everyone and thanks again. I have all your messages and will contact someone soon .

Saturday.. the 28th

hi everyone just talked to Jimmy he has decided to tear part of his fence down instead.

Too much to stuff to move. He has family on the other side, yes I wish he would have thought of that sooner!

Meanwhile I have narrowed the replies down to 8. I will be in touch with the people when I make a final decision.

Its gonna be a bit for the car yet so I have time.

Sorry I wasnt in touch earlier in the week but it was a year since we lost David this week as you can imagine very emotional.

When I know something you will too.

Thx everyone

Very sad. Hopefully it goes to a good home. My first car was a 1970 Skylark.

From what I read a fellow (kid) owned the car, died and his mom posted the car for free.
